The developer of the former St. Anthony’s Hospital site, tonight is hosting the first public meeting with the developers of the first phase of the massive development near Sloan’s Lake.
The open house of what is being called SLOANS, is sponsored by EFG-South Sloan’s Lake I, LLC, is an opportunity to learn more about the planned first phase of development, meet the developers, and see their preliminary building concepts. EFG-South Sloan’s Lake is an Enviro-Finance Group company.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Confluence Ministries at 1400 Quitman St.
The first phase of development is expected to get underway in 2014 and includes new retail along West Colfax, the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the Kuhlman Building, new apartment projects with ground floor retail, completion of the W 16th Avenue Chapel Plaza.
The 19-acre, seven-block development is between West ColfaxAvenue and Sloan’s Lake park.
EFG expects at build out, the site will have 800-1,200 residential units, a mix of for sale and rentals. It also would have 150,000 to 200,000 square feet of retail, office and hospitality uses.
The first four of the seven SLOANS neighborhood city blocks include:
- Retail anchored along West Colfax;
- Two new apartment projects;
- Ground floor retail along Raleigh Street and the adaptive reuse of a former convent building into a boutique hotel on the south shore of Sloan’s Lake.
The first developers of buildings at SLOANS include: Littleton Capital Partners and Weston Capital Corp.; Trammell Crow Residential; and Kuhlman Block Alliance, headed by Joe Vostrejs of Larimer Associates, the developer of Larimer Square.
